Christy and James

We are a husband and wife team in Chicago, and between us we have photographed more than 350 weddings across nearly two decades. Christy reads a room before anyone has finished saying hello, keeps the day organised, and will happily be the reason your aunt is laughing. James is the calm one, hard to rattle, and has a knack for being in exactly the right place a second before anything happens.

Our approach is presence over perfection. We are unpretentious, honest and kind-hearted, invisible when that is what the moment needs, and ready to step in and help the second it is not. The pictures that end up meaning the most are almost always the product of a day well lived rather than a day well arranged, so we listen first and let you get on with it.

We shoot on a collection of both digital and film cameras, and the work has been seen in The Knot, Style Me Pretty, CBS News, HuffPost and Carats & Cake. Outside of the season you will find us with two rescue dogs from PAWS Chicago, one of the three causes we support alongside Wish Upon a Wedding and UNCF.
